For two years after his friend Jeff Bowman was lost in space, Akio Miyamoto has done his best to move on. He enjoys his new life on the planet Yokohama in the New Tokyo star system. His family has moved up in the world and can afford a nice home in a massive city that floats in a tropical sea. They even have some luxuries like artificial reality games and a personal A.I. Akio and his younger brother, Akifumi, both go to good schools that open bright futures to them.

But it all comes to a terrifying end when war breaks out. Before he knows it, Akio, his brother, and several of their friends are on a frantic race for survival across the stars. Living the life of a refugee, Akio must find a way to stand up against his relentless enemies and uncover the truth behind this senseless war.

Searching for clues anywhere he can, Akio discovers that he and his friends have been given powers far beyond those of normal humans. Together, they must confront the terrifying forces that were set in motion by an ancient enemy from another universe. As he battles his way through the horrors around him, Akio must find a way to keep the hope for peace alive.
